Following the 2023 local elections our two Hyndburn councillors held the balance of power on that council. Negotiations with Labour could not be arranged so our councillors agreed to work with the Conservatives where possbile and to abstain from the election of a new council leader. This has allowed Hyndburn council to function during the past year.

More recently, our councillors have been prominent in establishing Hyndburn's position over Gaza.

Our two new Ribble Valley councillors threw themselves into their new roles. They were busy with casework and committee work. They produced and distributed quarterly ward newsletters. Press highlights included the Martholme viaduct campaign and debating the environmental worth of HVO fuel.
