Firstly,

Malcolm Peplow & Gaye McCrum were elected as councillors for the Ribble Valley ward of East Whalley, Read & Simonstone - a tremendous achievement at the first time of asking

Secondly,

Following the elections the Greens now hold the balance of power on Hyndburn Borough Council through their existing two councillors. The council is now 16 Labour, 16 Tory 2 Greens & an Independent.
